The UNIX Porting Project
Peter Naulls
Monday 15th September 2003, 19:45

The UNIX Porting Project aims to convert UNIX software to run under RISC OS. All of the software is freely available once converted. However, by subscribing to the project you receive support via email, can suggest software you would like to see converted, and support further developments. (For more info see http://www.chocky.org/unix/ ).

Peter will be demonstrating some of the many pieces of software already available through the project, as well as talking about what's involved in the conversion process, how both developers and ordinary users can help, and what's planned for the future.

We're hoping that he will also be able to show his port of Linux to the Iyonix, as well as bringing along CDs of both projects to sell.
